I do not know how Michelle Duggar did this 19 times.......heck I don't know how my mom did this twice!
What did not help was that I caught the stomach bug right when the morning sickness started. That weekend I couldn't eat anything and was really doubting what I had gotten myself into because I hadn't realized it was a stomach bug yet. Once the stomach bug ended life got somewhat more bearable.
I haven't been able to eat much at all. I am now finally starting to get the hang of this. I am very limited on what I can eat. Garlic, tomatoes, bread, bagels, pasta, anything that sits heavy is out. Pancakes are fine...like mother like daughter. Everything is at a 50/50 and I don't know whether I will be able to keep it down until I have eaten it. I also have to be careful with what time I eat. So far I can eat most fruits I have tasted, yogurt is my breakfast that I have to wait until 8 to eat. Oatmeal is my lunch. I have a protein bar as snack, and pretzels/ginger cookies throughout the day. Dinner has either been pancakes or cereal. And that is really all I can trust to keep down...as long as I time everything okay.
One of my biggest hurdles is that my taste buds have not returned. NOTHING tastes right....not even hot tea. I really think I have lost weight this month. You cannot tell when I am in clothes and I think only my mom and I could really identify a baby bump if I were in a swim suit. My goal is to only gain 20lbs with this pregnancy, that is more then enough for baby and me, but I am starting to worry that I wont even gain that much.
The nausea has made it extremely hard to sit up and do anything, hence lack of blogging. Outside of trying to keep it a secret, I couldnt sit up straight without my head spinning and my stomach churning. Getting through work was really really hard. I had a lot of concerned people asking if I was okay because of how pale I looked.
Sleep, I have been sleeping a lot. This I do not mind so much. It is only lately that I have not been sleeping as well as before. I still sleep through the night but I have periods of brief consciousness as I move from dream to dream where as before once I was out, I was out cold.
As I leave the first trimester and head into the second, I really hope my tastebuds come back :-\

2 months
2 Months because it took Mommy (man that's weird!) that long to realize she was pregnant :) It was decided at my first dr's appointment that I was exactly 8 weeks so we are going to have to skip the 1 month post :)
At this point I definitely hadn't gained much if any weight, so I do not think I look that much different. How am I feeling? Oh that deserves it's own post.

I am not sure what has caused our good fortune....
I don't know if it was the Holy Well in Inisheer, Ireland that is supposed help infertility:
Or the the "wall statue" in Bunratty, Ireland that's supposed to help infertility:
Or the Mexican fertility goddess my friend Nicole, from work gave me:
However whatever it was...worked!
If you haven't guessed by now....Brian and I will be expecting our first bundle of joy May 21, 2013!
We are safely out of the first trimester and all the people that should know in person already know....which means it is safe for public knowledge. :)

Let sleeping dogs lie....
There is one thing that Benjamin and Bailey do really well....sleep! Benjamin is a tad bit better ;)
Under the bed....
On Dad's foot...
In a puddle outside....
In the corner
"why'd you wake me....I was comfy!"
Under the dining room table...
Finally, a puppy asleep in a bed :)

Still doing good
Work is going well. Weekend overtime has seemed to be over for the time being. Still doing overtime during the week. Production is not a concern at all which is nice...one less thing to stress about.
I can't remember if I mentioned this but we got the sod put down in the easement. It is doing okay. We had some issues with the sprinklers but we got those fixed. Mom and Dad were very nice and let us borrow their manual sprinkler and even helped us water the sod. We currently still have to manually water the right side but the left is taking care of itself. We could get the right side to take of itself but that would mean the sprinkler would hit the house and that isn't good either. Apparently it's really hard to have sod die here in October, so far it looks like it is going well. There are brown spots but there are brown spots in our yard as well.
"Hurricane" Sandy was not a hurricane or even tropical storm for us. It's really supposed to hit the north but we have enjoyed the rain. I wont have to water the sod for the next couple of days. It is even here today!
I finished another thing on my to do list. Shutterfly was hosting another great sale so I had to get it done to ensure I got the great discount. So the photo book of the house going up is complete and here! It is not my favorite book but it is good enough...and given all the issue's we have had with building the house I dont think it could ever be my favorite book.
The wedding albums are still on hold, after I finish making my Christmas presents I will start typing the recipes and will go from there.

I am alive....
just busy....
Work is going well. Picking up due to tax season, fiscal year, and back to school visits. Still working overtime but not as much.
Work also passed around an awful stomach virus and I caught it the weekend where Brian got his wisdom teeth taken out. Not fun!
Last weekend Mom and Dad came up and Dad, Brian and I got our concealed weapons permit with Caroline and her son Blake. Lots of fun! Mom gardened (what she likes to do) and made us dinner. Yummy chicken paprikas!
This weekend we are going down to Charleston! I miss Benjamin and Bailey, I am spoiled having them so close. We are also going to a pumpkin patch in Edisto and a ghost tour. Hopefully with this ghost tour the other guests will let the tour guide tell ghost stories instead of asking about her academic adventures.
Halloween is coming up and I don't think we are buying candy....we dont have any kids in our neighborhood really. I will buy a bag just in case but will have to hide it or Brian will eat it all.
Really not too much going on, just getting back into the swing of things.

Brian's Teeth
This past weekend was rough. Brian was not the issue. I caught a stomach bug which made things interesting.
Brian had all four of his wisdom teeth taken out at about 10:45 on Friday and was in "recovery" at about 11:20 or so. Surgery went well. His roots were really long and he had a strong tongue but no complications or stitches. Still waiting for him to swell up like a chipmunk. We were out and on our way home at noon.
We tried to pick up our prescriptions at cvs but they wanted us to wait 30 minutes so we took them to Walgreens after I dropped Brian off at home. Well with Brian I left his insurance card so I had to return home to pick that up. It took about an hour to get the prescriptions and other few things we needed.
Brian is doing very well. The next three days I kept him on a schedule with his meds and he played his game to distract himself. He went to work today and so far so good. He did have a quick follow up this morning with the doctor and the doctor is very pleased.
Me? I am still trying to recover :-\
