On the Saturday's we ate dinner here it was because we ate lunch out. I did have to add a meal completely (Spaghetti). On top of the $187 we paid originally I paid another $10 to replace a few things that had gone bad or I had forgotten.
I am so far thinking this plan is a success. We are not eating out as much, I am enjoying cooking more, we appear to be saving money (this month is the real test), and the kitchen is being kept clean easier.
Yay! Returning the love - SO excited to follow and try some of your yummy recipes! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you commented on me already! Returning the favour - and I'll come back during the week :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are inspiring me to plan and cook. I spend way too much on food that we dont eat.
ReplyDeleteI said I'd be back! Great recipe list, love shepherds pie!
ReplyDeleteLove some of the dishes you have listed. This gives me an idea of some new meals that I need to try out on my husband!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is a great idea, good to hear it worked for you... I'll be following along :-)
ReplyDeleteThis plan is SO great! Thanks for sharing how it is working for you! I'm lucky to get a week planned, I need to try this out!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower from Jenna's challenge. I find it amazing that you meal pan a whole month. I like to plan meals out to save money and be ready to cook each week, but I've never successfully planned more than a week or 10 days. I look forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteI try to plan for 3-4 weeks at a time, simply because I don't enjoy grocery shopping. I still have to fill in with fresh produce and milk. But, as a single mom, it's way easier to know what I'm going to be making when I come home from work instead of staring into the fridge and wondering... "Hmmm...what should we have tonight?"
